An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Town That Forgot God, the 1922 Harry F. Millarde silent rural religion romantic love triangle family relationship melodrama ("Rich Man"; "Poor Man"; "Beggar Man"; "Thief"; "Doctor"; "Lawyer"; "Indian Chief"; "The Bargain Hunters"; "Story by Mr. X"; an epic story of small town romances and family relationships that ends with the entire town being swept away in a major storm, apparently a punishment for "forgetting God", and only two of the lead characters survive!) starring Bunny Grauer (who went on to become one of the most recognizable voices in radio and television history), Warren William, Jane Thomas, Harry Benham, and Edwin Denison. Note that the credits say that the story was by "Mr. X", who was actually Paul Sloane, and we don't know what the purpose was in crediting him that way! Also, the advertising for the movie uses the children's rhyme that begins "Rich man, poor man...", but we don't know how it is connected to the movie. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: fair to good. The poster has tears and areas of paper loss in the vertical fold and across the top and bottom blank borders. The poster is quite fragile and is in urgent need of professional restoration. But after that is done, the poster will look great! Learn More about condition grades
