An Original Vintage Magazine (measures 8 1/2" x 11"; 186 pages) and Brochure (measures 8 1/2" x 11"; 4 pages) (Learn More) Fanny Hill: Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure, the 1964 (released in the U.S. in 1965) Russ Meyer U.S./German sexploitation comedy ("The book that was banned for 200 years...now a feature film by Albert Zugsmith!"; "They said it could not be filmed!"; "Adults only please!") starring Leticia Roman (billed as "the exciting Letitia Roman as Fanny Hill"), Miriam Hopkins, Walter Giller, Alex D'Arcy, Ulli Lommel, Chris Howland, and Christiane Schmidtmer. Note that the IMDb says this movie was released in West Germany in 1964, but was not released in the U.S. until 1965, and therefore the 1965 U.S. posters are from the first release. We have seen a promotional item that was stamped "AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL", but they are not listed as the distributor of the movie, and we don't know if they were supposed to distribute it, but then this did not happen. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Vargas Important Added Info: Note that this is a really cool special promo brochure that was sent by American International (apparently the intended distributor for the movie) to theater owners. They wanted to show theater owners that this movie was being advertised with a pictorial in the new Playboy magazine, and they sent the theater owners this brochure along with an actual copy of that issue of Playboy. They cleverly took the regular Playboy cover and put it in black & white on the cover of the brochure, and they altered it so that it looked like the Vargas art was for their movie! Also note that this magazine contains unclothed women, so we have placed white bars over those areas, for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual magazine does not have those white bars! Also note that we have provided a picture of the entire brochure, as well as the front cover of the Playboy magazine and a picture of one interior two-page spread from the magazine. These images should greatly help you judge the overall condition of both items. Condition: very good. The brochure is in pretty nice condition. The magazine has some handling wear, and someone wrote a note in pen on the upper left of the cover (this was written by the person mailing the brochures, to let the theater owner know which page had the story on the movie).
