An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked French "Affiche" Movie Poster (23x32; measures 23 1/4" x 31 1/4" [59 x 79 cm]) (Learn More)

Tintin et les Oranges Bleues (literally translates to "Tintin and the Blue Oranges"), the 1964 Philippe Condroyer French/Spanish science fiction (sci-fi) family adventure live-action comedy (based on the characters created by Herge) starring Jean Bouise, Jean-Pierre Talbot (in the title role as Tintin), Felix Fernandez, Jenny Orleans, and Angel Alvarez. Note that the first Tintin live-action film was the 1961 Tintin et le Mystere de la Toison d'Or. It was a success and this second live-action film was produced. However, all of the roles except for the part of Tintin were recast, and the film did not do well. Since then, there have only been animated Tintin films. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Artist: Herge
Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this partially French movie!

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had minor wear on the foldlines. There were pinholes in the corners with paper loss in two corners caused by rough removal of the pins. There were some smudges, scuffs, and creases scattered in the image. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
