An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style B One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Sawdust Paradise, the 1928 Luther Reed gambling circus carnival religious conversion evangelist romantic melodrama ("Story and Adaptation by George Manker Watters"; about a pretty young woman who goes to work for a man who works in a street carnival cheating people at gambling games, but then she is arrested, and an evangelist has her paroled into his care, and she uses her "street smarts" to help make his revival meetings a giant success, but then her ex-boyfriend wants to put the evangelist out of business, but she manages to convert him and he finds the path to honesty, happiness, and true love!) starring Esther Ralston, Hobart Bosworth, Reed Howes, George B. French, and Alan Roscoe. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. The poster had an extra vertical foldline 3" to the right of the regular vertical fold. There were some creases and scuffs on parts of some foldlines with a few smudges and small tears in the bottom horizontal foldline. There were some pinholes, smudges, and stains in the blank borders. There were fairly large areas of paper loss in the right blank corners and in the middle of the left blank border, but in all three areas, it was solely blank white paper that was missing. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well. Learn More about condition grades
