An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

Vanity Fair (of Today), the 1932 Chester M. Franklin romantic woman-climbs-ladder-of-success-using-men melodrama ("The modern version of Thackeray's Famous Classic!"; about a woman desperate to achieve success, even though it means romancing and using many men she does not care about) starring Myrna Loy (as Becky Sharp), Conway Tearle, Barbara Kent, Walter Byron, and Anthony Bushell. Note that this was one of many movie adaptations of William Makepeace Thackeray's classic novel, "Vanity Fair", but this was the only one that "modernized" it and brought it into the present day. It is virtually completely forgotten, and there was a 1935 version starring Miriam Hopkins, called "Becky Sharp", which was the first Technicolor feature.
