Important Added Info: Note that we have auctioned several Czech posters from the mid 1930s, but never another example of this poster. The ones we have auctioned had mostly measured around 12" x 37", but they usually had a fairly large blank top area and some blank area at the bottom. This poster does not appear to be trimmed at the top or bottom, but it might well have had more at the top or bottom. It also could possibly have been trimmed on the left or right, but it is the same width as other Czech posters from this period. If anyone has ever seen this poster before, please e-mail us and we will post it here. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster might have been trimmed (see above). It was tri-folded and it had fine surface paper loss on parts of the folds. It had pinholes in the corners and a tear near the center of the top border. It had small tears in the left and right borders, with some tiny paper loss in the lower right border, and some creases and scuffs scattered throughout. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was mounted onto a thin linen with no excess and no restoration (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
