An Autographed 3" x 5" [8 x 13 cm] Index Card (Learn More) Dave Stevens was an illustrator and comics artist from the 1970s to the 2000s. He is most famous for creating The Rocketeer comic book (and film character), and for his pin-up style illustrations, especially of model Bettie Page. He passed away in 2008 at the age of 52 from hairy cell leukemia. Important Added Info: This index card has been personally autographed (signed) by Dave Stevens. Note that our consignor purchased a collection of autographed item that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahony Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him). Our consignor (and we) feel certain that the autograph on this card is authentic! The index card could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display!
