Our Fall 2011 Mini/Major Auction has an incredible selection of posters (1,352 items in all!), covering all years, genres, and sizes and is being run in three parts:

  • Part I (Tuesday September 6th to 13th): 506 LINENBACKED U.S., non-U.S. and non-movie posters
  • Part II (Thursday September 8th to 15th): 325 "oversized" (LINENBACKED, PAPERBACKED, and UNBACKED) posters of all types, including many choice ones!
  • Part III (Sunday September 11th to 18th): 521 unfolded and folded posters and lobby cards that fit in our standard size packages

What distinguishes OUR Mini/Major Auctions from other major auctions? Only the lack of any reserves or buyers premiums, honest condition grading, and unenhanced super-sized images! You will find an amazing "supermarket" selection of great posters from all years, genres, and countries!

INCREDIBLE! Every buyer from ANY of the parts of our "Fall 2011 Mini/Major Auction " receives a great full-color printed t-shirt as a free bonus (even if you only purchase one $1 item)!
Every buyer in this special auction will receive the great full-color T-shirt pictured at right, which shows the image from the LADY IN QUESTION Italian two-panel included in this auction (we will only be making as many t-shirts as there are different buyers in these auctions, so it will be a VERY limited edition, and likely will become a "collector's item" in its own right!). Given that you get this great full-color T-shirt with any purchase, shouldn't you absolutely find any one item to purchase from us from among the 1,352 items in these special auctions?
*Note: we give this shirt (which costs us $9 to $11 each at wholesale, because they are very high quality) to anyone who purchases one or more items in these auctions. BUT KNOW THAT YOU ONLY GET ONE SHIRT, NO MATTER HOW MANY ITEMS YOU PURCHASE, AND WHETHER OR NOT YOU PURCHASE FROM ANY OF THE PARTS OF THIS SPECIAL AUCTION.
Please also note that, because some of the posters in this auction are un-backed and rolled, we will NOT send the t-shirt together with your purchase if you purchase only rolled unbacked items. In that case only, we will hold it on your account, and we will add it to the next flat package you receive from us.  But if you purchase items that CAN have a t-shirt included with them (either linenbacked or items that ship flat), then we will include the shirt with your purchases.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S EVEN MORE!  The above offer is for anyone who purchases any ONE item from either part of this mini/major auction.  But if you are a member of our weekly e-mail club, we will be offering our most generous bonus offers ever to those who purchase just FIVE items from any of the three parts combined (you need just purchase a total of five items from any of the three parts).  We will have multiple great offers for those who purchase as few as five items, and as many as twelve or more, and you get these just for being a member of the club (so if you are not already a member, and over 6,334 collectors already are, then why not join today by going to https://www.emovieposter.com/club/settings.php).

Details About These Sunday Items

Where are the many bulk lots and our usual "Sunday items" regularly offered on Sunday?
We are taking a break from our regular Sunday offerings of scripts, exhibitor magazines, movie magazines, German programs, hardcover books, pressbooks, sheet music, and bulk lots while we offer Part III of our Fall 2011 Mini/Major Auction this week, but know that we have a HUGE number of items waiting to be auctioned in our "regular" Sunday auctions, so please know that they will return in one week on Sunday September 18th, and almost every week thereafter.

(to better help you find the sizes and countries that interest you)

IMPORTANT: Note that the items in Part III of our Fall 2011 Mini/Major Auction must be shipped
either in our standard flat packages (lots 4y001 to 4y215) or rolled in our standard tubes (lots 4y216 to 4y521), which means they can be sent for $12 U.S. shipping, if they are not combined with anything else. Know that none of them can be combined with any linenbacked items from Parts I or II, but of course, the rolled lots may be combined with any other rolled items from those parts and the folded items may be combined with any folded items in Part II (but then know that you will have to pay the actual cost of shipping from those auctions).

About the condition
Note that we give a detailed overall condition grade to every item we sell ("fine", "very good to fine", "very good", "good to very good", "good", and "fair", with only a few graded "poor") along with more details about the condition described in words (but pretty much only if they are defects that CAN'T be seen in our super-sized images, or if the item is especially valuable). We felt this would help bidders identify items they want to bid on more easily. Of course, we still strongly recommend that you look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the poster for minor defects that we did NOT describe.

If a poster is in less than very good condition, should you not bid on it? Of course not, as long as you are accepting of the defects the poster has! The item that is graded "very good", but has as many minor defects as is allowed under the "very good" definition is only in SLIGHTLY better condition than the best of the "good to very good" items. So please take the time to look at the larger images of items that interest you, and see if the defects are the sort that you can "live with", or are willing to restore. Some of these items are EXTREMELY rare, and it may be years before you see them offered again!

Payment Options

We accept all major credit cards via phone at +1 (417) 256-9616 during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9 AM CST to 5 PM CST except from 12 to 1 when we take lunch), via e-mail, or via fax at +1 (417) 257-6948.

U.S. orders with a flat rate shipping can quickly be completed via PayPal in our Checkout system. At this time, PayPal is the only payment method supported by the checkout but more payment methods and features will be added with time.
If your order requires a shipping quote and you have received your quote, you may pay via PayPal manually to "mail@emovieposter.com", but know that PayPal has many glitches, so you need to e-mail us separately stating that you completed payment Learn More Here are step-by-step instructions if you need help paying manually with PayPal.

You can send a check or money order (if you do, enclose your address and details about what you purchased) to:
Bruce Hershenson
Attn: Payments
P.O. Box 874
West Plains, MO 65775

If it is your best payment option, you can pay by Western Union, but please don't send cash (as we can't be responsible for lost cash).

If your order requires a shipping quote, please request it through our Checkout system. Please note that we are still developing this checkout system, so while you may request your quote using it, we do not quite have it ready to complete payment (although we hope to have that added soon), but payment may still be completed using whatever method you have used in the past. If you run into any sort of problem requesting your quotes, please e-mail Phillip right away so we can get it addressed.

U.S. Shipping Details

KNOW THAT IN THIS SET OF AUCTIONS ONLY (Part III of our Fall 2011 Mini/Major Auction), lots 4y216 to 4y521 ship rolled in tubes and lots 4y001 to 4y215 ship in flat packages for a flat $12 U.S. shipping (we are charging $12 U.S. shipping for the "regular" rolled and flat items rather than the usual $11, both because many of the items are expensive and will cost more to ship, but also because of the many recent postal rate increases; BUT REMEMBER that flat and rolled items can NOT be combined; PLEASE don't ask us to unfold and roll folded posters, because that can harm them, and we will only do so if you insist on it and take responsibility for any possible damage). Please bear this added cost in mind BEFORE you place bids.
Missouri customers: You must pay an additional 7.162% sales tax on your purchases.  If your order is sent within the state of Missouri, we MUST collect this tax (if it is shipped to another state, we do not collect the tax).

Will your order be shipped to you by UPS?
UPS does NOT automatically require a signature to deliver packages, so if you want the signature to be required, you will need to pay the extra $3.00 UPS charges for "signature required" Delivery Confirmation, and please realize that they will then NOT leave the package, and you may well have to go to the UPS facility yourself to pick it up.  But if you prefer this, that is fine, and if you have any other special requirements, please tell us when you are paying for your order.

You CAN usually combine shipment!
NOTE: These Sunday items need to be sent either rolled in tubes or in flat packages, so...

*lots 4y001-4y215 ship in flat packages can be combined with these auctions only:

  • Tuesday August 23rd folded one-sheets
  • Thursday August 25th vintage 8" x 10" stills
  • Sunday August 28th 'regular' Sunday auctions
  • Tuesday August 30th window cards and miscellaneous items
  • Thursday September 1st complete and incomplete lobby card sets
  • Sunday September 4th 'regular' Sunday auctions

*lots 4y216 to 4y521 ship rolled in tubes can be combined with these auctions only:

  • Tuesday September 6th rolled non-U.S. posters
  • Thursday September 8th non-movie and non-theater-used rolled posters
  • Sunday September 11th 27x41 and 27x40 one-sheets

*no lots can be combined with these auctions:

  • Sunday August 28th & September 4th 'bulk lot' Sunday auctions

Note that we not only allow you to combine as many items as you want from a single set of Tuesday, Thursday, and/or Sunday auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge for all of the items, but we also allow you to wait until the next five sets of auctions end (a total of six sets of auctions) so that you can combine your current purchases with those of our following auctions (if possible), and that means there is a chance you could combine items from up to six of our sets of auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge (assuming those items fit into the same type of package). We KNOW there are other sellers who charge a little less on shipping than we do, but we know that our packaging is the best there is, and our orders virtually never arrive damaged (and on the very rare times that they do, all our U.S. packages are fully insured, and FULL INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN THE U.S. SHIPPING CHARGE).

Non-U.S. Shipping Details

Non-U.S. buyers must pay the actual cost of shipping their order (you can choose whatever method you prefer, but know that the U.S. Post Office has eliminated Surface Mail, so we can only send via Express or Airmail), plus $3, for both the best packaging materials you have ever seen and a separate printed invoice mailed to you.  All non-U.S. buyers must tell us if they want the package sent insured or uninsured at the time they pay for their order.

Have you heard about our Pay and Hold Program?
This lets non-U.S. buyers pay for their purchases from 4 consecutive weeks (a total of 12 auctions and around 8,000+ items!), and we then send all your purchases at once saving you LOTS of money!  Click HERE to learn more about becoming one of the hundreds of our non-U.S. buyers who are already part of this program.

Learn more about how to save money on shipping by shipping to friends/family in the U.S., insurance, and customs fees.

Here is a chart containing estimated shipping charges for up to 3 items from this week's auctions (note these are ESTIMATES only, and your actual shipping may vary considerably)

The quotes shown below are for a single flat package (lots 4y001 to 4y215) or a single tube (lots 4y216 to 4y521), but if you purchase items of both types, you will be charged for two separate packages.

(Note: Insured quotes are based on a $200 value; you pay $1.60 more for each additional $100 of insurance)

Type of Shipping Canada/Mexico Australian/Asia/Japan Everywhere Else (inc Europe)
Priority Mail Int'l - Uninsured $21.71 / $22.61 $29.79 $30.26
Priority Mail Int'l - Insured $23.61 / N/A $32.99 $33.46
Global Express - Insured $34.72 / N/A $38.05 $38.74
Global Express - Uninsured $32.82 / $32.59 $35.35 $36.04
First Class $9.95 / $14.90 $17.92 $17.92

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please bear these approximate shipping cost in mind BEFORE you place a bid (if you live outside the U.S.). The vast majority of our customers want a very securely packed tube, and will pay the extra shipping cost involved (and of course, it goes to the Post Office or UPS, and not us!). Please do not ask us to pack less securely, as that would likely result in a damaged order.
Some sellers are sending by Ground UPS to Canada, but that incurs large "brokerage fees", so we do not recommend it.  Note that there are also some sellers sending non-U.S. packages via a "Letter" rate, but of course this is not legal, and we can not do this.  We have outlined the possibilities for sending non-U.S. packages above, so please read that carefully, BEFORE placing a bid!

DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE ACTUAL COST OF SHIPPING (the actual cost of shipping plus $3 outside the U.S.)!

You Can Add More to Your Order
In addition to our current auctions, we offer many other non-auction items. Please note that the items in this set of auctions will be sent either in flat packages or rolled in tubes (see notes above), so you can add any item that can also be sent either in flat packages or rolled in tubes (see notes above) for little or no additional shipping costs (NOTE: if we can add it to your package without raising the cost of shipping, then we will do so with no added shipping charge, but if it raises the cost then you will need to pay the difference). We have noted below whether the items can be shipped rolled or not.
