Did you know... that we use packing supplies solely designed for safety during transit and NOT designed for long term storage?

Added: 09/24/2012
NONE of the packaging supplies we use are acid free or archival. This includes the brown paper, the plastic bags, the backing boards, the tubes, etc.

We buy everything with the goal of getting the best possible material to keep items safe during transit from us to you. None of it is designed for long term storage.

You CAN purchase archival material of every type, but of course, it is often somewhat more or quite a bit more expensive than non-archival materials. And please consider that we know that many of our customers have chosen to store their items in the packaging we sent it to them in, and we are often re-consigned the items years later, and they don't show any signs of being the worse for wear. This does not mean that we are recommending that you do so, only that it is unclear how much damage can be done to an item by being stored in non-archival material, or how much good it does to store it in archival material.

We have previously written about how it is much more important WHERE you store your items than in WHAT you store it in! Read about that here:
Did you know... that there definitely are good and bad ways to store your movie paper?

But there are also some items that we recommend every collector should have, and some of it is storage related. Read what those items are here:
Did you know... that there are some basic items that EVERY collector should consider owning?
