Cool Item Of the Week: Jungle Girl R47 pressbookReturn to Cool Item of the Month Archive Added: 03/02/2015 As many of you know, I, Bruce Hershenson, owner of eMoviePoster.com, have collected pressbooks (and related movie paper like studio yearbooks) for over 30 years, and I have the world's foremost collection of such material. I thought I would share one item with you each week, the type of items you almost surely have never seen before, and which might not come up for sale for DECADES! So below is the pressbook from the 1947 re-release of Jungle Girl, the 1941 John English & William Witney jungle native tribe adventure serial ("A Republic Serial in 15 Chapters"; based on the novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs) starring Frances Gifford (in the title role as the Jungle Girl), Tom Neal, Gerald Mohr, Trevor Bardette, Eddie Acuff, Frank Lackteen, and Tommy Cook NOTE THAT THE PRESSBOOK SHOWN HERE IS FROM THE 1947 RE-RELEASE OF THIS SERIAL! Quite often, early re-release items are incorrectly sold as originals, but we at eMoviePoster.com do all we can do to find out what items are re-releases, and clearly identify them. We would love to show you the 1941 first release pressbook as well, but we have never seen it!
