As many of you know, I, Bruce Hershenson, owner of eMoviePoster.com, have collected pressbooks (and related movie paper like studio yearbooks) for over 30 years, and I have the world's foremost collection of such material. I thought I would share one item with you each week, the type of items you almost surely have never seen before, and which might not come up for sale for DECADES!

This week, I have the pressbook from Kriss (also released as "Goona Goona (Love Powder)"), the 1932 Armand Denis and Andre Roosevelt French/U.S. Polynesian documentary ("Conceived and Directed by Andre Roosevelt and Armand Denis on the Isle of Bali"; "A drama of weird and grotesque customs...witchcraft, socery and the sensuous charms of savage sirens"; "Love's revels on the island of Bali, last paradise on Earth."; "A weird melodrama"). Note that Armand Denis had explored Africa and India in the 1930s with his wife Leila Roosevelt, and had produced and directed many short subjects with footage of their travels that he and his wife had shot themselves. In 1948, the 52 year-old Armand Denis divorced Roosevelt, and married 34 year-old Michaela Holdsworth, and together they made four movies (very similar to those he had made with his first wife).
