As many of you know, I, Bruce Hershenson, owner of eMoviePoster.com, have collected pressbooks (and related movie paper like studio yearbooks) for over 30 years, and I have the world's foremost collection of such material. I thought I would share one item with you this week, the type of items you almost surely have never seen before, and which might not come up for sale for DECADES!

This week, I have the pressbook from Spy of Napoleon, the 1936 Maurice Elvey English France German espionage historical melodrama ("History repeats itself - The events of yesteryear, the headlines of today!"; based on the novel by Baroness Emmuska Orczy, who is best known as the author of The Scarlet Pimpernel; about the illegitimate daughter of Louis Napoleon [Napoleon III] who is forced into marriage as a spy after Napoleon suspects French aristocracy are selling military secrets to Germany; meanwhile her lover is exiled as a traitor to France and is sent to Switzerland to track down a group of spies in order to redeem himself!) starring Richard Barthelmess, Dolly Haas, Francis L. Sullivan, Frank Vosper (as Napoleon III), and Lyn Harding (as Bismarck)
