An Original Vintage Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh) (Learn More) Vendetta, the 1914 Louis Mereanton French silent back-from-the-dead romantic love triangle horror thriller ("When his coffin falls from its niche in the wall, Romani returns to consciousness"; "A beautiful photo-dramatization of the famous novel by Marie Corelli in five parts"; about a man who "dies", but while he is awaiting burial, he recovers, and discovers that his wife is having an affair with his best friend, and he does not reveal he is alive so that he can seek his revenge) starring Madame Bartet (billed as "Regina Badet"), Jean Angelo, Rene Hervil, and Georges Baud. Note that this movie was made in France in 1914, and was released in the U.S. through "George Klein Attractions" the same year. Because the movies were silent, and had "inter-titles", it was extremely easy to substitute titles of a different language, allowing each movie to be shown in many different countries.
