Zane Grey's The Vanishing American (released in Australia as "The Vanishing Race"), the classic 1925 George B. Seitz silent Native American Indian World War I (WWI) melodrama ("The story of the red man's stand against civilization"; "A Paramount picture of Zane Grey's story"; about the incredible mistreatment of Native Americans; in this story, Navajos have their best horses stolen by a crooked Army agent; then a kindly schoolteacher convinces them to sell the rest of their horses to the Army, because the American fight in World War I is for them too; the lead Native American, played by Richard Dix, is so inspired that he joins the Army himself, and is a war hero, but when he returns, he discovers that his fellow Indians are more mistreated than ever, and want to start a war against the white man) starring Richard Dix, Lois Wilson, Noah Beery Sr., Malcolm McGregor, Nocki, Bruce Gordon, and Gary Cooper (as an uncredited extra!)

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is a VERY unusual poster! It basically is very much like a "personality poster" from the 1920s, but those are almost always for individual actors, and this is not only for a movie, but it also shows Richard Dix in character! So it could be a personality poster or it could be a jumbo window card, but it really is a combination of both! We are calling it a jumbo window card, but we could see someone calling it a personality poster. Either way, we have never before auctioned it. It certainly has a great image, which is a wonderful close portrait of barechested Native American Indian Richard Dix!

Condition: very good. There are pinholes and smudges around the edges, with some tiny tears and tiny paper loss caused by rough removal of the pins. There is a 2" tear in the left of the top border that has a piece of tape on the back, but otherwise, no restoration was performed.
