Lebende Bilder Aus Dem Reiche der Tiere (literally translates to "Living Pictures From the Animal Kingdom"), the circa 1900 German advertising poster (with a tagline that translates to "A new book for home, school, professional and lay scholar and artist") promoting the purchase of a book by Ludwig Heck, and featuring Hans Schulze art of a roaring tiger and cobras. Note that this pictures in this book were taken at the Berlin Zoological Garden, the oldest zoo in Germany.
Artist: Hans Schulze
Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning!

Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It is printed on alight card stock, and it has some creases and tears of varying lengths (most are approximately 1" or less but a few larger and those have some restoration tape behind them) along portions of some edges with small paper loss in a few corners. Someone backed the edges with a thin tape that has yellowed and the tape only slightly discolors the blank borders, but it is somewhat visible in the tears themselves. The art itself has only some light creases and it otherwise in pretty nice condition!
