Note that posters for this company feature information and detailed art of the many types of seed that were available. The company was founded by Arnost Bahlsen and operated from 1878 to 1949. The company ceased to exist as a result of the 1948 Czechoslovak coup d'etat in which the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, with Soviet backing, assumed undisputed control over the government of Czechoslovakia.
