An Art Print (made for the 2011 re-release of this movie; measures 18" x 24" [46 x 61 cm]) (Learn More) La Boheme, the 1926 King Vidor silent Paris France romantic melodrama ("Suggested by Henry Murger's 'Life in the Latin Quarter'"; set in 1830s Paris, about a group of poor artists and writers who meet a beautiful seamstress, and about all of their struggles to succeed, and also just to survive) starring Lillian Gish, John Gilbert, Renee Adoree, Roy D'Arcy, Karl Dane, Frank Currier, George Hassell, Edward Everett Horton, and "other stars". Note that Puccini's famous 1896 opera of this name was based on Murger's 1851 novel, and this movie only credits the novel and not Puccini or his opera, so we suspect that had something to do with MGM only buying the rights to the novel and not the opera.
