An Original 1926 (from the first release of this movie in the U.K.) Vintage Theatrical Folded English Six-Sheet (called a 12sh in England) Movie Poster (6sh; measures 78" x 88" [198 x 224 cm]) (Learn More)

The Perfect Clown, the 1925 Fred C. Newmeyer silent mistaken identity crime comedy ("Station fun"; "A barrel of fun"; about a lowly clerk who is given $10,000 to deposit in the bank, but he gets there too late, and he wants to get the money to the owner of the business, but while trying to do so, there is a robbery where the crooks stole exactly $10,000, so of course, everyone suspects him of the robbery) starring Larry Semon, Kate Price, Dorothy Dwan, John Meredith, Otis Harlan, Curtis 'Snowball' McHenry (black African American actor of the 1920s and early 1930s who mostly only played stereotypical roles; billed as "G. Howe Black"), Oliver Hardy (in one of his supporting roles, not long before he teamed up with Stan Laurel and once again became a top star, as he had been in the 1910s!), and Paul Fix (uncredited in his first movie role!). It is not a coincidence that three of the actors in this movie were reunited from the movie they had made a few pictures earlier, the 1925 version of The Wizard of Oz (where Larry Semon played the Scarecrow, Curtis 'Snowball' McHenry played the Cowardly Lion, and Oliver Hardy played the Woodsman).

Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned two lobby cards from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this English six-sheet! Also note that this English six-sheet was printed in 4 sections designed to overlap.

Condition: good to very good. There is some darkening on the back of the part of the poster that was on the outside when it was fully folded. There are some creases and several tears along the folds that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded. There are some creases, smudges, and tiny tears on some folds, and some tiny paper loss at some crossfolds.
