A legend of a man. A man who fought his way through hell to save a grandson he had never seen!"; "May, 1909. Seven men held little Jacob McCandles for a $1 million ransom. They weren't afraid of the army. They weren't afraid of the Texas Rangers. And they thought his grandfather, Big Jake McCandles, was dead. Not hardly!"; "Produced by Michael Wayne") starring John Wayne (in the title role as Big Jake), Richard Boone, Patrick Wayne, Christopher Mitchum, Bobby Vinton, Bruce Cabot, Glenn Corbett, John Doucette, Maureen O'Hara ("as Martha"), and Ethan Wayne NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we do not know WHAT country this poster was printed in, or in what countries it was used. It is NOT a "Spanish/U.S." one-sheet, and we feel certain it was not printed in the U.S. It is printed entirely in Spanish, but it is not a Spanish size or an Argentinean size, so it is likely it was printed for use in Spanish speaking countries other than the above two, but where it was printed and used is a mystery to us! If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are slightly noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "Pre-Restoration Defects & Quality of Restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had wear and fine surface paper loss on some of the foldlines (typical of high-gloss posters of this period). There are a few very minor border defects. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well. Learn More about condition grades
