An Original Vintage Linenbacked French Advertising Poster (measures 39" x 59 1/4" [99 x 150 cm]) (Learn More)

Camembert Georges Bisson, the 1937 French advertising poster (with taglines that translate to "An old brand from Normandy!" and "It's the best") promoting the purchase of Camembert cheese from Georges Bisson in Normandy, France. Note that this poster features great art of a man enjoying a bite of cheese by Henry Le Monnier. It says "an old brand from Normandy" because legend has it that it was first made there in 1791 by a farmer who was given advice from a priest who came from Brie, the origin of another legendary French cheese!
Artist: Henry Le Monnier
