A 1980 Movie Music Soundtrack Vinyl Record (measures 7 1/4" x 7 1/4" [18 x 18 cm]; 45 RPM record) (Learn More)

Christmas in the Stars: Star Wars Christmas Album is a record album produced in 1980 by RSO Records. It features recordings of Star Wars-themed Christmas songs and stories about a droid factory where the robots make toys year-round for "S. Claus". Much of the album is sung and narrated by British actor Anthony Daniels, reprising his role as C-3PO from the Star Wars films. Sound designer Ben Burtt also provided sound effects for R2-D2 and Chewbacca. The album is notable for featuring the first professional recording of Jon Bon Jovi (credited as "John Bongiovi"), who sang lead vocals on the song "R2-D2 We Wish You a Merry Christmas."

Important Added Info: Note that this is a wonderful 45 RPM record that contained two of the songs (What Can You Get a Wookie for Christmas [When He Already Owns a Comb?] and R2-D2 We Wish You a Merry Christmas), which were both on the "Christmas in the Stars" Star Wars Christmas album that was released at the same time!

Note that this is one of seven items that were added to this auction after the rest of the items began! The delivery companies (UPS, USPS, and FedEx) were all extremely slow delivering items that were shipped to us for this auction, and these seven arrived after our deadline. But because that was no fault of the consignors, we have added them to the very end of the auction, and they are now items number 3h448 to 3h451, and they end on Sunday, December 13th, beginning right after regular item 3h447 ends!

Condition: very good. The record sleeve is in really nice condition (see our images). The record itself has a tiny chip in the very outer edge of the "Wookie" side, and we don't know if that would affect playing it, as we have no way of doing so.
