An Unfolded Undated (probably 1980s) Italian Special Poster (measures 19 1/4" x 27" [49 x 69 cm]) (Learn More)

Abbazia, the 1980s reprint of a 1938 Italian travel poster encouraging people to visit the seaside resort of Abbazia, and featuring Romoli artwork of two women in a car with the town in the background. Note that Abazzia (known as Opatija by the Croatians) is a Croatian seaside resort on the Kvarner Gulf, and is known for its Mediterranean climate and its historic buildings reminiscent of the Austrian Riviera. In 1920, the country was under Italian control and in 1947, it was given to Yugoslavia as part of the peace treaty with Italy. After the breakup of Yugoslavia, the town became part of Croatia.
Artist: M. Romoli
Important Added Info: Note that there is a small stamp on the back of the bottom left corner that reads "II EDIZ." (which means "second edition"), because this is a 1980s reprint of the original 1938 poster. Please do not bid on it thinking it is from 1938, because it is from the 1980s.

Condition: very good to fine. The poster was never folded and has minor border wear.
