An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) A House Divided (also released as "The Woman Breaker"), the 1931 William Wyler family relationship father/son romantic love triangle melodrama ("From the story by Olive Edens"; a wild story of an old widower with a grown son who sends for a mail order bride, and gets one the age of his son, and that causes tension, and the father and son fight, and the father can't walk again, and the wife stays to take care of the father, even though she loves the son, and at the film's climax, she runs away with the son, and the crippled father chases them in a boat and is drowned) starring Walter Huston, Douglass Montgomery (billed as "Kent Douglass"), Helen Chandler, Walter Brennan, Vivien Oakland, and Frank Hagney. Note that the title of this movie, of course, comes from Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, where he said "A house divided against itself will not stand"! Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).
