He also starred in the TV series "The People's Choice" in the 1950s. AND Anne Shirley was an actress from the 1920s to the 1940s. She was born Dawn Eveleen Paris but her mother gave her the name Dawn O'Day early in her career. She changed her name to Anne Shirley during the summer of 1934 after she had been chosen to play the character with the same name in RKO's Anne of Green Gables.
