Stahl romantic family relationship mother sacrifice melodrama (based on the novel by Fannie Hurst; about a woman who intends to marry a man, but circumstances prevent that from happening, and they separate for many years, and reunite when the man is married, but the woman has a "back street" affair with him) starring Irene Dunne, John Boles, June Clyde, George Meeker, Jane Darwell, Zasu Pitts, and Robert McWade. Note that this movie was remade in 1941 starring Charles Boyer and Margaret Sullavan. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
