Important Added Info: Note that George Lucas had been a comic book fan before Star Wars, and before he made the movie he invested in the Supersnipe comic shop and art gallery in New York City, run by his old friend Ed Summers. In 1978, Lucas arranged for the Supersnipe gallery to have a exhibition of Ralph McQuarrie and Joe Johnston concept artwork that had been created during the production of the movie. The event was called The Designing of Star Wars, and during the event they gave out (as contest prizes) sets of art prints featuring some of the artwork, and there were both signed and numbered versions of the prints and also unsigned and unnumbered versions. We have NEVER before auctioned ANY of these prints in all of our years of auctioning! NOW we are auctioning an unsigned and unnumbered Supersnipe print showing Joe Johnston Death Star/Tie Fighter concept artwork. Any of these prints are among the most rare Star Wars posters there are, of any size or type!
Condition: very good. The print has three tiny brown stains in the middle of the left blank border at the edge of the print and some faint smudges in part of the top edge of the top blank border. The print was once framed and it had three pieces of tape on the back of the top border and one piece each of the back of the top of the left and right borders. Otherwise the print is in nice condition.
