Festival International du Film Cannes (Cannes Film Festival 1946) was the first of the famous annual film festival that took place in Cannes, France. It was held from September 20th to October 5th, and movies shown included: The Lost Weekend, Gilda, Fall of Berlin, and many more. During the first festival, the jury was made up of one representative per country, with French historian Georges Huisman as the Jury President.
Artist: Cluseau Lanauve
Important Added Info: Note that for this very first Cannes Film Festival in 1946, the promoters printed a different program of each day's events! They are similar, but they have some contents that are different from each other, and they all indicate what specific date that program is for, and what the events were highlighted on that date (see our many images). Note that we have NEVER before auctioned even one of these 1946 programs, and now we have been consigned four different ones, and we are currently auctioning them in four separate auctions.

Condition: very good.
