An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Frank Capra's It's a Wonderful Life, the classic 1946 Frank Capra (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) banking family fantasy romantic melodrama ("Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful! How could it be anything else!"; "They're going steady... straight to your heart!"; "It's a Wonderful Love!"; "Frank Capra's wonderfilm..."; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; about a man at the brink of suicide, and an angel appears who shows him all the good that he did, by showing him how his world would have been if he had never been born, and that renews his faith) starring James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart; nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; "America's Favorite Feller..."; as George Bailey), Donna Reed ("Jimmy's Favorite Girl..."; as Mary Bailey), Lionel Barrymore (as Mr. Potter), Thomas Mitchell (as Uncle Billy), Henry Travers (best remembered for playing Clarence the angel in this movie!), Beulah Bondi (as James Stewart's mom), Ward Bond (as Bert), Frank Faylen (as Ernie), Gloria Grahame (in a memorable role as Violet, the "bad" girl), H.B. Warner (as Mr. Gower), Carl 'Alfalfa' Switzer (as Freddie), Stanley Andrews, Sheldon Leonard (as Nick), William Edmunds, Jimmy Hawkins, Samuel S. Hinds, Frank Hagney, Karolyn Grimes, Virginia Patton, and Todd Karns NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds. There was a tiny hole 1" to the left of the middle crossfold. There was a 1" semi-circular tear in the right of the middle foldline above the "U" of "WONDERFUL". There was a 1" tear in the middle of the right border extending into the end of the "E" of "WONDERFUL". There were some small tears surrounding the bottom crossfold (in the blank white background area). There was one 2" tear below and to the left of the bottom crossfold with small paper loss next to it (again, solely in the blank white area). There were smudges in the "ON" of "WONDERFUL" in the title. There was a 2" tear in the top right corner (in the white background area) and some tiny areas of paper loss in the top right blank corner. There was a piece of tape on the back of the top corners of the poster (solely in the white background areas). I DETAIL THE ABOVE MINOR DEFECTS, BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL OF THE DEFECTS THE POSTER HAS! To me, they are clearly minor, and since almost all of them are in the blank white background areas, they are truly very minor. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and looks great! You have to look extremely closely at the poster to see the restoration, and it in no way has a "painted over" look to it. I think almost any collector would be quite happy to have this great poster displayed on their wall! Learn More about condition grades
