A Limited Edition Art Print (signed by artist Tyler Stout; 118/270; measures 24" x 35 3/4" [61 x 91 cm]) (Learn More)

Remember the Alamo, the 2006 (or 2007 [see below]) Tyler Stout art print created as part of the membership drive for the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Austin, Texas. The art is based on the posters from the classic 1960 film The Alamo starring John Wayne, and even uses the same font for "The Alamo" title. However, instead of the Mexican army, Wayne is battling classic villains such as Jason, The Kurgan, General Zod, Pinhead, Jack Torrance, Nosferatu and many more! Fighting alongside Wayne are classic protagonists such as Snake Plissken, Ash, Travis Bickle, Gort and more. Only 270 of the 1st edition were printed (along with a metallic variant edition of 25). A 2nd edition of 400 (with 30 added/changed characters in the art) was printed in 2007.
Artist: Tyler Stout
Important Added Info: Note that this art print has been personally autographed (signed) by Tyler Stout and hand-numbered 118/270! Note that Alamo founder Tim League tells us VERY important additional information about this print! He says "Before we did this print, we had previously met Tyler Stout through Rob Jones. Tyler did a poster for QT Fest in 2006 that really blew us all away. In 2007, we were at the end of our 10 year lease at the Original Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. Our rent was doubling and we weren't sure we could afford to stay. We formed a non-profit that eventually became the American Genre Film Archive, at the time we were trying to decide if we should run the Alamo as a non-profit. As our first fundraiser, we commissioned Tyler to create this Remember the Alamo poster. If you made a donation to the non-profit, you got a copy of that poster - it was NEVER available for sale other than that fundraiser and therefore it is the MOST sought-after Tyler Stout poster there is!".

This is one of 2,346 auctions for Mondo/Alamo Drafthouse prints from the personal collection of Tim League, co-founder and Executive Chairman of Alamo Drafthouse! All 2,346 auctions begin on November 29th, and all close December 13th, starting at around 3:00 PM CST, a few seconds apart! All the prints are being auctioned by eMoviePoster.com, and will ship to the winning bidders from eMoviePoster.com, who WILL combine purchases into as few packages as possible (and they can also be combined with purchases from "non-Mondo" eMoviePoster.com auctions, only charging the actual cost of shipping, plus $3 for packing materials).

All the auctions have the standard eMoviePoster.com rules (NO reserves, $1 starting bids, NO buyers premiums, and time-extended auctions, where 5 minutes must go by without a bid for an auction to close)! Go HERE to learn about their company, and go HERE to specifically learn about their upcoming prints and more, and go HERE to specifically learn more about their great theater chain!

Please know that 100% of the proceeds from the sale will go towards paying staff of the Alamo Drafthouse and paying debt and expenses accrued during the COVID closures. And eMoviePoster.com has slashed its commission rates, so that we too can do all we can to support this most worthwhile cause. Whether you are a prior collector of Mondo prints  or if you have never purchased one of them before, you surely have a movie fan in your life who would like something unique under their Christmas tree this year (or maybe you want to give it to yourself!). Our deepest thanks to everyone who participates in this very special set of 2,346 auctions!

Condition: fine. The limited edition art print is in excellent condition!

An important note about the condition of the print in this auction (or, in the case of 25 of the auctions, prints). It comes from the personal collection of Tim League, and it has been carefully stored since it was first printed. In the case of all but 46 of the 2,344 of the prints, it is in wonderful condition, and likely looks exactly as it did when it was printed, and we give all those our "fine" grade, which is the highest grade we give (and which equates to most dealers' "mint" grade). In the case of a very small number of the prints (46 in all!), it acquired one or more defects, and in those cases we give it a lower grade, and explain in words what those defects are. If you like purchasing limited edition prints in wonderful condition, THIS is the auction for you!
