An Original 1948 (from the first release of this movie in Italy) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Italian One-Panel (known in Italy as a "2 Fogli") Movie Poster (1p; measures 39" x 55" [99 x 140 cm]) (Learn More)

Frontier Marshal, the 1939 Allan Dwan Arizona cowboy western ("I'm the law in Tombstone..! ...from now on it's up to you whether the city or the cemetery is going to grow the fastest!"; based on the book by Stuart Lake) starring Randolph Scott (as Wyatt Earp), Nancy Kelly, Cesar Romero (as Doc Halliday), Binnie Barnes, and John Carradine. Note that Romero's character was called Doc Halliday instead of Doc Holliday because of fear of a lawsuit by Holliday's family.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this Italian one-panel. Not only that, but this is the only non-U.S. movie paper item we have ever auctioned from this movie!

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had paper loss and some tears at the crossfolds, with some small tears and tiny paper loss on parts of several folds, and some staple holes around the edges. There was paper loss at the left and right ends of the top horizontal fold, in the blank borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
