He is best remembered as the Marx Brothers lovable mute (he never spoke in any of the movies!) and for his curly red hair, top hat, and horn. He acquired his nickname because he was an expert harpist, which he would play in many of his movies. Some of his movies include: Duck Soup, A Night at the Opera, Horse Feathers, A Day at the Races, Animal Crackers, and Monkey Business. Harpo passed away in 1964 at the age of 75. Important Added Info: Note that this is not an original studio-issued photo, but it is a "re-strike" photo created by a dealer in the 1970s (someone who likely had access to the original negative). Please do not bid on this 14" x 17 1/2" RE-STRIKE photo thinking it is an original, because it is not. Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
