An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 18 1/4" x 26" [46 x 66 cm]) (Learn More)

Peter B. Kyne's The Mysterious Avenger, the 1935 David Selman cowboy western ("Rough-riding Rangers..... hell-bent for fighting and funning") starring Charles Starrett, Joan Perry, Wheeler Oakman, Edward LeSaint, Lafe McKee, and The Sons of the Pioneers. Note that Joan Perry had been a former model who was discovered by Columbia head Harry Cohn. He put her in a bunch of movies, and then married her, and in 1941, she retired. Also note that at this time, The Sons of the Pioneers consisted of Roy Rogers, Bob Nolan, Hugh Farr, Karl Farr, and Tim Spencer! Roy Rogers was referred to as "Musician Len", which is not surprising, since his real name (which he was still using at this time) was Leonard Slye. It would be three more years before he would become a star in his own right (and we agree that changing his name to Roy Rogers was a big improvement over "Leonard Slye"!).

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 18 1/4" x 26" [46 x 66 cm]. Also note that this poster is very old, and it would not make sense to attempt to roll it, as the paper is fragile enough that rolling it might damage it. Therefore we will send it in a large flat package. Please bear that extra shipping cost in mind BEFORE placing a bid on this poster!

Condition: poor to fair. The edges have been trimmed from the poster and there are some tears and areas of paper loss scattered throughout (more so around the edges). Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects!
