An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Forty by Sixty Movie Poster (40x60; measures 40" x 60" [102 x 152 cm]) (Learn More) Two Weeks in Another Town, the 1962 Vincente Minnelli Italy romantic movie-making melodrama ("...only in Rome could this story happen..."; "from the Great Best-Seller by Irwin Shaw"; "Based on the Novel by Irwin Shaw"; "Screen Play by Charles Schnee"; about a formerly top-of-the-heap famous director and washed up alcoholic superstar actor who go to Rome to shoot a movie and hopefully resurrect both of their careers) starring Kirk Douglas, Edward G. Robinson, Cyd Charisse, George Hamilton, Dahlia Lavi, Claire Trevor, James Gregory, and Rosanna Schiaffino. Note that director Vincente Minnelli cleverly used footage from his classic "The Bad and the Beautiful" which he had made 10 years earlier with Kirk Douglas within the movie (it is used as a film that the characters in the movie are watching, as a reminder of how big a director Douglas had been). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Bart Doe Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had a few light creases scattered throughout, with some faint smudges in the borders and white background areas. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
