An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Hands Across the Border, the 1926 David Kirkland silent cowboy western ("Story by Frank M. Clifton"; about the son of a Los Angeles businessman who is at a horse show, and he sees a Spanish girl abducted by a car, and he chases the car on his horse, and manages to rescue her, and later, he finds out that her family owns the ranch in Mexico just south of his father's ranch in California, and that there are drug smugglers there, and he goes to try to stop the smugglers, but he gets captured along with the girl, and he is about to be executed when his horse, Silver King, shows up with American and Mexican cavalry that he was sent to find!) starring Fred Thomson ("and the Marvel Horse Silver King"), Bess Flowers, Tyrone Power Sr., William Courtright, and Clarence Geldart. Note that star Fred Thomson was a major silent cowboy star (along with Tom Mix), but he is forgotten today, because he tragically died of tetanus just when sound movies started. Surely there should be a film biography of his life (perhaps Johnny Depp could play the lead role!). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
