An Original Vintage English Television Script (measures 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm], 54 pages) (Learn More)

The Prisoner, the classic 1967 - 1968 George Markstein & Patrick McGoohan English television (TV) science fiction (sci-fi) mystery prison series (about a former English secret agent who is kept prisoner in a mysterious village, and he wants to know why he is there, and wants to escape; the highest ranking man there is "Number Two", and he is forced to become "Number Six", and everyone in the village only has a number and not a name, and he can't find out who "Number One" is!) starring Patrick McGoohan, George Markstein, Angelo Muscat, Peter Swanwick, and Leo McKern (the first "Number Two"; Number Two was later played by Patrick Cargill, Colin Gorgon, Kenneth Griffith, and several other actors and actresses!). Note that star Patrick McGoohan had previously starred in an English TV series called "Danger Man" that ran in the 1960s, and was released in the U.S. as "Secret Agent". When that series was ending, McGoohan asked a member of England's Parliament, "So, what does a secret agent do when he retires?", and the man answered "Oh, we take care of them. We give them a house, a car, some pocket money, and that way they don't defect.", and that inspired McGoohan to create this series!

Important Added Info: Note that this script is for the pilot episode in 1967 ("The Arrival"), and the screenplay was written by George Markstein & David Tomblin.

Condition: very good. The metal clip that holds the script together has rusted, more so on the back, but otherwise, the script is in nice condition. See our multiple images to get a good sense of the exact condition of this script.
