Kirk), Leonard Nimoy (as Spock), DeForest Kelley (as McCoy), James Doohan (as Scotty), Walter Koenig (as Chekov), George Takei (as Sulu), Nichelle Nichols (as Uhura), Bibi Besch, Paul Winfield ("as Terrell"), Kirstie Alley (billed as "introducing Kirstie Alley as Savvik"), and Ricardo Montalban (in the title role; billed as "starring Ricardo Montalban as Khan"). Note that the Star Trek TV show went off the air in 1969, with a cult following, but without a lot of general success. But there was enough interest built up over the following years that Star Trek: The Motion Picture was made in 1979. While the movie did well at the box office, it was not critically well received, and it looked like that might have been the end of the franchise, but then Nicholas Meyer wrote and directed this sequel, which was a giant critical and commercial success, and led to all the many sequels and spin-offs in the years since! Important Added Info: Note that this poster was stamped "FOREIGN" which means it was printed for use outside the United States (there would also have been posters stamped "DOMESTIC" for use within the United States). Often, the "FOREIGN" posters would have a different (sometimes racier) image than that for the one used in the United States. Also note that this three-sheet was printed in 1 section. Condition: very good to fine. There is some darkening on the back of the part of the poster that was on the outside when it was fully folded, but it has little effect on the front, and otherwise, the poster is in nice condition.
