An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Pick a Star, the 1937 Edward Sedgwick movie-making acting musical comedy ("'So many women are crazy about me!'"; "'You're not hurt-and I can give you a job!'"; "'I'm directing this picture, no you!'"; "'This will teach you to mind your own business!'"; "'You're as good as a movie star already!'"; "Hollywood's gayest night spot... scene of Joe's Waterloo!"; "'Come on Stan, Let's finish this scene!'"; about a country girl who comes to Hollywood to be an actress, and Hal Roach had his top stars Laurel & Hardy appear in sequences about the making of a movie!; produced by Hal Roach) starring Patsy Kelly, Jack Haley, Rosina Lawrence, Mischa Auer, Lyda Roberti, and Stan Laurel, and Oliver Hardy (billed as "also Stan LAUREL, Oliver HARDY"). Note that Laurel & Hardy appeared in this movie as a favor to producer Hal Roach (who had launched their career as a comedy team), and agreed to low billing, and to appear in a corner of the advertising, because their presence and their billing at that time was sure to greatly enhance the box office of this movie!
