An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) I Married a Witch, the classic 1942 Rene Clair witchcraft romantic love triangle time travel fantasy comedy ("No man can resist her!"; "I Married a Witch ...and I'm not complaining would you?"; "Based upon a story by Thorne Smith completed by Norman Watson"; "She gets what she wants with.... Hex appeal!"; a complicated but enjoyable tale of a 17th century witch who was burned at the stake with her father, and she returns to the 20th century with her father to get revenge on the descendant of the man who burned them, but, through a very complicated process, she ends up falling in love with him instead!) starring Fredric March, Veronica Lake, Robert Benchley, Susan Hayward, Cecil Kellaway, and Ann Carter NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: fair. There are three approximately 3/4" circular areas of paper loss at upper and lower left that have been repaired with paper and tape from the back and some crayon from the front. Fortunately, two of these areas of paper loss are in background and text areas, with the other one in Lake's hair at left. There are some stains in the background at the far right of the title and in the bottom of the "d" of "married". There are stains in the title area right of center as well as some creases, smudges, and scuffs throughout the poster. There is paper loss in the left of the top blank border that has been repaired with paper and tape from the front and back of the poster. There is tiny paper loss at the bottom two crossfolds. While this poster has many defects, it is the sort of poster that will response well to professional restoration, and after linenbacking by a talented professional. Learn More about condition grades
