An Original (possibly from the 1970s) Vintage Cartoon Pencil Drawing (measures 10 1/2" x 12 1/2") (Learn More) Goofy is an animated animation cartoon character created in 1932 by Art Babbitt & Frank Webb for Walt Disney Productions. In his first appearances he was known as Dippy Dog before having his name changed to Goofy. He is often featured in animated animation cartoons alongside Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck such as Mickey's Service Station, Clock Cleaners, and Lonesome Ghosts. He was probably the most popular Disney character in the 1940s, with his slapstick series of "How To..." sports cartoons, but he faded in popularity in the 1960s and 1970s. He had a resurgence in popularity in the 1990s with the release of "A Goofy Movie" in 1995 and the TV series "Goof Troop" in 1992. Important Added Info: Note that we really have no clue as to when this and the other three Disney pencil drawings are from. We are guessing the 1970s, but we could be way off, so bear that in mind before bidding on this item. If anyone knows more about it, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good.
