Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More)

Ace of Hearts, the 1921 Wallace Worsley silent romantic love triangle crime mystery thriller ("By Gouverneur Morris"; about a group of radicals who want to kill a wealthy man in their town, and they draw cards to see who will do the actual murder, and a young man draws the ace of hearts, which means he must do it, but the woman he is married to knows it will ruin his life, and she enlists the aid of a man who is in love with her, but she doesn't reciprocate, and that man nobly sets off a bomb that kills all the radicals, except for the woman and her husband, so they have nothing to fear) starring Leatrice Joy, John Bowers, Lon Chaney Sr. (playing the man who sets off the bomb), Hardee Kirkland, Raymond Hatton, and Edwin Wallock

Important Added Info: Note that although Lon Chaney starred in this movie, he is not pictured on this card!

Note that this is a hand-colored card. In the days of silent movie prior to the invention of good quality full-color printing, studios would have lobby cards printed in black and white and then amazingly would hire women to hand-color the cards one at a time (apparently labor was very cheap at the time)! So, each card is colored slightly differently, and the coloring is never a perfect match.

Condition: very good. There are small areas of paper loss in the top blank border. There are two 1/2" tears in the middle of the left border. There are minor creases and tiny tears around the edges of the card. There are tiny chips off of the top blank corners.
