An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 12" x 15" [30 x 38 cm]; 52 pages). Also included is a herald that has 5 pages. (Learn More) Mary of Scotland, the 1936 John Ford historical Scottish royalty romantic biography melodrama ("History called her the 'Temptress'..."; "One of the greatest love stories of all time... brought to the screen by a marvelous cast of famous stars"; "From the play by Maxwell Anderson") starring Katharine Hepburn (in the title role as Mary, Queen of Scots), Fredric March, Florence Eldridge (as Queen Elizabeth I), Douglas Walton, John Carradine, "And A Tremendous Cast of Famous Stars" NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that when studios would prepare pressbooks they would often include a sample of the herald. Most often, the herald is no longer still with the pressbook. Sometimes, the herald by itself will sell for almost as much as the rest of the entire pressbook! This pressbook contains the original herald that was included with it, and it is pictured next to the pressbook below. Also note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook, and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Condition: fair to good, WITH CUTS. This very large pressbook (both in size and page count) had a square binding, like a book, and it is very tattered on the spine, with tears and paper loss that extend slightly into both covers, which have separated from the rest of the pressbook. There is also a 4" x 6" piece cut out from a newspaper ad page that affects just one ad. The tipped-in herald on the last interior page is present (see our images). Learn More about condition grades
