Date Sold 11/25/2012 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 8 issues of Movie Stars Parade magazine. Movie Stars Parade, one of the many movie magazines sold to the public. Each issue features a great full color cover of a leading star of the day, plus lots of interior publicity stories about current stars and movies with many color and black and white images throughout. Also, in every issue are many wonderful vintage ads, some in color and some in black and white, and sometimes the ads can be just as much fun as the original stories and pictures. Of course, some of the ads are from movies that were about to open, and in the early days of eBay, people would remove those full-page ads and auction them by themselves, and they would often sell for $10, $20, or more, just for a single movie ad removed from a magazine just like this! Note that in September of 1947, due to the increasing popularity of radio, the magazine added "Plus Radio Parade" to their cover, and they began covering radio stars as well! Also note that at some time between October 1958 and August 1960, they dropped the word "Parade" from the title (it had been getting smaller and smaller on the cover anyway, and they had added as subtitle of "TV Close-Ups") and the magazine became "Movie Stars TV Close-Ups". Measurements: 8 1/2" x 11"Condition: good. The magazines range from "fair" condition (the one with the cover of Grace Kelly) to "good to very good" (see our images).
