Date Sold 2/28/2012Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Campaign Book Page (measures 12" x 16" [30 x 41 cm]; 2 pages) (Learn More) The Rough Riders, the 1927 Victor Fleming silent Spanish-American War Cuba historical biographical military action adventure thriller ("A Victor Fleming Production"; "'You can't call a man a coward - if he dies trying!'"; "Based on the story by Hermann Hagedorn"; about the equestrian military unit organized by future U.S. President Teddy Roosevelt and its adventures in Cuba during the Spanish-American War of 1898) starring Noah Beery Sr., Charles Farrell, George Bancroft, Charles Emmett Mack, Mary Astor, and Frank Hopper (as Theodore Roosevelt). Note that co-star Charles Emmett Mack had incredibly bad luck in being killed in a car crash the day after this movie had its premiere! Bizarrely, he had only appeared in eleven movies prior to this one, and almost every one (including this one), his character was killed during the movie! Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving complete copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this page was removed from a campaign book (studio yearbook). Each side of the page advertises the above movie, and we have pictured both sides. Condition: very good. The page was removed from a campaign book that had punch holes at the spine (and there are some smudges in the background on one side), but otherwise, the page is in pretty nice condition!
