A Linenbacked French Special Poster (measures 14 3/4" x 23" [37 x 58 cm]) (Learn More) 3me Foire de Paris (literally translates to "3rd Paris Fair"), the 1906 French poster promoting an event that was held at the Grand Palais in Paris, France. The fair is a major retail event that has been held annually in Paris since 1904, typically for ten days in April-May. Although mainly showing domestic goods, it offers a varied range of products for the general public. Since 1924 the fair has been held in the Porte de Versailles exhibition center, and is the largest general-purpose fair in Europe. Note that this poster features Nicolas Tamagno art of a woman with Paris in the background Artist: Nicolas Tamagno Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had two horizontal folds near the middle and some minor wear along those folds. Someone many years ago mounted it onto a thin linen with no restoration, and there are now some creases in the top center of the linen and also a lesser amount scattered around the edges.
