A 1954 Re-release Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Half-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 22" x 28") (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock's Notorious, the classic 1946 Alfred Hitchcock World War II (WWII) Nazis-in-South-America romantic love triangle crime film noir ("Fateful fascination! Bold intrigue!"; "Notorious woman of affairs... Adventurous man of the world!"; "Unceasing excitement... Relentless suspense!"; "Adventurous Man! Notorious Woman! - the boldest deception two lovers ever dared!"; "Deep their love! Great the risk!"; "Written by Ben Hecht"; one of Hitchcock's absolute best movies; the plot is wildly implausible, but the quality of the acting of the entire cast and the great direction are so good that you don't care!) starring Cary Grant, Ingrid Bergman, Claude Rains (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Louis Calhern, Leopoldine Konstantin (billed as "Madame Leopoldine Konstantin", in a wonderful sinister performance as Claude Rains' mother!), E.A. Krumschmidt, and Lenore Ulric NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good to fine. The poster was never folded. It had faint smudges around the edges of the poster and in the solid yellow areas, a few creases and tiny tears in the borders, and a very few scuff marks within the image. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and displays well, but the restorer left the light smudges around the edges and in the yellow area (likely because the owner did not wish to re-paint the entire yellow area, a decision I agree with, because the smudges are not at all distracting).
