Date Sold 3/18/2021Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 8 paperbacked magazine covers from The American Boy, the monthly magazine first published in 1899, and it was aimed at the young males of America (similar to the later Boys' Life). Its earlier rival was "Youth's Companion" which was founded 1827. In 1929, the two magazines merged (the Depression was hard on the magazine industry!) and the combined magazine ceased publication in 1941. Each issue had signed cover art by noted illustrators of the day. Note that the items in this lot are from the 1920s to the 1930s. We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them. Note that these are on a heavy paper that cannot be rolled, so they will need to be sent in a large flat package.
