This means the poster was backed onto a paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Also note that because this poster was paperbacked onto a thinner paper backing, it COULD be sent rolled, but we would MUCH prefer to send it in a large flat package (because we fear that rolling it, even into a wide tube, would have an excellent change of damaging it further, so we will only send it in a tube if the buyer insists, and then they would be responsible for any damage), but otherwise, we will ship it in a large flat package, so bear that expense in mind before bidding on this poster. What IS paperbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. Prior to paperbacking, the poster had tiny creases and fine surface paper loss on all three folds, and some fairly minor border wear. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was likely pretty well paperbacked, but it was roughly handled since that happened, and the poster has been partially creased along the original folds, and there is now surface paper loss on those folds as well. There is also a crease in the top left corner. The poster could have additional restoration, with or without re-backing it. Bear in mind the condition it is in and the fact that it has been partially re-folded before placing a bid on it (and know that it has not been so much re-folded that it could be entirely re-folded and sent in a flat package, and really must be sent in a long, flat package).
