An Original Vintage Theatrical Australian Daybill Movie Poster (db; measures 14 1/2" x 39 3/4" [37 x 101 cm]) (Learn More)

Let's Get Married, the 1926 Gregory La Cava silent football sports romantic melodrama ("Adapted by Luther Reed from 'The Man from Mexico' by H.A. Du Souchet"; about a football hero who goes to work for his father, and he meets a nice girl, but his father wants his son to stay single so he sends him to visit a client, but it turns out to be an old lady who helps the son get together with his sweetheart) starring Richard Dix, Lois Wilson, Nat Pendleton, Douglas MacPherson, Gunboat Smith, Joseph Kilgour, and Edna May Oliver (in her 9th movie). Note that although Edna May Oliver was first in movies in 1923, she was 43 years old when this movie was made (because prior to 1923, she had solely appeared on the stage). Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

Artist: Richardson Studio
Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned five lobby cards and six stills from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this Australian daybill, with a great Richardson Studio stone litho image! The poster was mounted onto a heavy board, so it must be sent in a very large flat package, so bear that added expense in mind before bidding.

Condition: good. The poster has blue stains scattered in the middle, which seem to be an acquired defect, but could also be a printing defect. There are stains in the bottom of the poster. Someone many years ago mounted this poster onto a heavy board. Obviously, it can be removed from the board and restored, but bear this in mind before bidding on this poster.
