Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked French Movie Poster (measures 25 1/2" x 39 1/4") (Learn More)

Olivia De Havilland was an actress who performed from the 1930s to the 1980s. She was often paired with Errol Flynn. Some of her movies include: The Adventures of Robin Hood, Gone With the Wind (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), The Heiress (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), To Each His Own (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Hold Back The Dawn (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Snake Pit (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), and Captain Blood. Her sister was Joan Fontaine, and they had a many decades-long (and never resolved) feud. She passed away in 2020 at the age of 104.

Important Added Info: This poster has been professionally linenbacked. It now looks great, and most dealers would describe it as "fine (or mint) on linen". We have noted the defects that were restored below (and feel everyone should always do this!). Many collectors would not be aware of the restoration this poster has had unless it was specifically shown to them!

Condition: fine. The poster was in excellent condition prior to linenbacking, and it appears to have never been folded.. Most of the linenbacked posters we sell were restored by the finest professionals. An expertly linenbacked poster will often appear "mint", as its defects have been made to "vanish". We are the only seller we are aware of who always tries to describe the condition of the poster prior to being linenbacked, so you are fully aware of what restoration was performed.
