An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Desert Gold, the 1919 T. Hayes Hunter silent cowboy western ("Zane Grey's most powerful picture"; "With an all star cast"; based on the novel by Zane Grey) starring E.K. Lincoln, W.H. Bainbridge, Frank Brownlee, Lawson Butt, and Jeanna Carpenter. Note that Zane Grey was such a dominant writer of the 1910s (and 1920s) that the producers of this movie chose to put his image on the one-sheet over that of any of the stars or any scene from the movie! Hundreds of movies were made from Zane Grey's books. He is almost certainly the most adapted writer in cinema history! Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good. There is a piece of paper tape on the front of the top of the slide, but it could be fairly easily removed. Learn More about condition grades
